What does “co-op” mean?
Cable Co-op is a co-operative, meaning our business is governed by a board of community members who volunteer their time. The board members are not paid and the Cable Co-op itself is a non-profit. The Board is voted upon by fellow cable subscribers, allowing subscribers to be involved in how the Cable Co-op makes decisions that will affect them. There is no CEO, no dividends to pay, and all money earned goes back into the operational aspects of the Cable Co-op. We are truly a unique Cable company in a unique city.
